Assistant application


If you'd like to make some extra cash, have your badge covered, or barter for a photoshoot, please fill out this form! I'm always accepting assistants for conventions. Filling out this form adds you to a contact list on Discord that I will reach out to as I open con bookings.


DUTIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

  • Carrying heavy gear
  • operating a reflector
  • holding and positioning light stands
  • operating a fog machine
  • cape flips, hair flips
  • walking a LOT
  • Light setup and teardown
  • Getting wet on certain sets


THINGS TO NOTE:

  • I provide a spreadsheet at least 2 weeks before the con, but please be aware that clients might move or change their sessions
  • Sessions are generally an 45mins long. Please set aside at least an hour
  • The job is physically demanding sometimes. Be prepared for weather, bring water, and appropriate shoes/clothes
  • Some people are able to assist in cosplay, but I rather you not if you aren't confident in your mobility
  • I generally give first pick of slots to those who have worked with me before and that I know are dependable
  • Hours can be unconventional. I do SUNRUSE and NIGHT TIME shoots.
  • YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOGGING YOUR HOURS AND SUBMITTING THEM TO ME

I usually hire for the following events:

  • Anime North (May)
  • Yeticon (June)
  • Otakuthon (Aug)
  • Blood Pool (Sept-Oct)
  • Misc Studio Sessions


COMPENSATION (IN CAD)

  • $30 per shoot ($50 per shoot for Blood Pool)

OR

  • I cover your con badge for the weekend

OR

  • One photoshoot in Toronto ONLY (Cannot be used at Anime North)

AND

  • The feeling of helping a cosplayer have the best photoshoot experience around!
  • Satisfaction in helping a disabled artist continue working.🤍
