Something wicked this way comes! As I gear up for my Halloween mini sessions, I want to think about the season... What's the best part about autumn? The changing leaves? Curling up with a spicy latte? Maybe you love harvesting the vegetables you spent all summer tending to? I know I do. For some people, autumn is all about Halloween...

...But that doesn't mean your portrait sessions this fall have to be spooky. Working together, I can help you craft your picture perfect fall photo session. I have a wide variety of props available for you to choose from. I'll even help you find your style. Below, you'll find two very different portraits that provide a great example on how you can combine environment, props, and outfit to create a real theme and tell a story.

Deanna in Gothic Lolita Fashion

Deanna opted to dress in gothlic lolita fashion to compliment the fall colours. the bonnet nods to a different era of fashion and complimented our historical farm backdrop.

Dave in a wizard costume from Dungeons and Dragons

We used a real sparkler to elevate David's wizard costume-- now he's casting real magic!

Using Props & Nature

Autumn is the best time to spend outside, if you ask me. It's not too hot, not too cold, the leaves are breathtaking, and you get to wear your favorite cool jacket. Check out some examples below of using props and nature to their fullest this fall!

Elevating Spooky

If you're a little faint of heart, you could always "elevate" something spooky. Using horns from StoryTeller Cosplay, soft white curtains, and some fake florals, James and I were able to give our own take on a 'high fashion' demon. It's perfectly spooky, but elegant as well.

Are you feeling the chills? Or is that just the urge to get some fall portraits taken? The good news is, I'm booking a special shoot day in High Park, Toronto! Book your Halloween / Autumn phot session with me today!
